Nick Walker

Nick is the Regional Executive Search Director of Garner International focusing on Banking and Financial Services. He specialises in the placement of candidates in Front, Middle, Back Office and IT positions within the Investment, Consumer and Private Banking sectors.

He started his career in the UK Public Sector in Human Resources. After a period managing systems development for Harrods, the famous retailer, he moved to the City to begin a career lasting 15 years in Banking and Financial Services, where he focused on the management and delivery of securities and transaction processing solutions for consumer, investment banks and OTC broker-dealer firms.

Nick has held senior roles in four of the largest American and European Investment Banks, including, Fixed Income, IT, Equities and Compliance roles; Asia Operations Director at a leading money broker and a project management role at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). He fully understands the challenges in sourcing high-caliber individuals and has a complimentary understanding of the career needs of those seeking premier positions.

He has a good depth of knowledge of banking procedures, products, systems and organizations. He has worked all over the globe including being based in New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Frankfurt and Singapore. He maintains an extensive international network of senior banking and finance contacts.

Prior to joining Garner, Nick managed his own boutique Executive Search firm in Singapore, finding and placing candidates in major financial and IT institutions in Singapore and Hong Kong. Attracted by the Garner brand strength, team support and international reach, the two companies merged operations in July 2008.
