Job Objective
  • To manage the China POC sales team in order to achieve the order and sales targets for the designated sales market in compliance with the sales strategy and annual sales plans of the Power Controller SBU.
  • To support and represent the Regional VP POC Sales Asia.
   
Main Accountabilities
  • To achieve the annual sales budget, individual as well as team budget.
  • Maintain the existing customer base and optimize sales.
  • Prepare and submit the annual China sales plan and strategy, and support the VP with the regional sales plan and strategy.
  • Identify new customers, establish relationship and realize sales.
  • Initiate and coordinate sales projects, including bids and auctions.
  • Investigate, analyze and report business and sales opportunities in the designated market.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports.
  • Manage, coach and develop the sales team, including individual target setup, team motivation, training, and performance assessment.
  • To develop and maintain good internal relations and communications within the company.
  • To be the back-up and replacement of the Regional VP POC Sales Asia.

The Candidate Profile

The candidate ideally will be a Chinese or Singapore country national or someone with an extensive background on the China market and several years top level management experience.

  • Formal education at Technical vocational diploma, or at BSc level or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, marketing/commercial, or business management.
  • Good knowledge of SPS PowerController products/applications/solutions
  • Good understanding of the (regional) POC markets and customers
  • Thorough understanding of local Chinese business culture is essential
  • Understanding of Commercial/Contract law
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, spoken and written
