THE POSITION

• Essentially, it is business development position and the incumbent will be responsible for managing accounts and obtaining new building and development projects.
• The incumbent will work with interior designers, hotel management companies, hotel owners, contractors and project management companies. As it is also a sales role, the person needs to be outgoing, yet focused.
• It is a regional role with a view to building up a new client base overseas, visiting the clients during business trips and servicing them through phone and email in between.
• The role will cover Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam with increased area as he/she gets more experienced. There would also be specific areas that the person might be asked to target such as cinemas, airports and cruiseliners.
• In Singapore, there is a small but highly qualified and hardworking team in Singapore - 4 people including designers and sales staff and in addition to that there is a network of distributors and agents in some countries - many of them have been working with the company for more than 20 years. Training is provided in India.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years sales experience and it would be good if he/she is used to working on long term projects, able to work independently and keen to take on and develop new markets.
• Good network of contacts in hospitality, developers, architects and IDs, entertainment, shipping industry is a plus
• Independent and resourceful
• Excellent track record in sales, business development and marketing

• Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment
• Willingness to travel when required
