Our client is a major manufacturer, marketer and distributor of dairy products in the large domestic Indonesian market. The product line includes UHT milk and fruit juices, ice cream, baking products and frozen foods.

They have been in business for nearly 4 decades and are the market leader in the ice cream sector. They have two manufacturing facilities located in the greater Jakarta area.

The immediate need is for someone to assume responsibility for production at their ice cream plant which operates around the clock.

There is a headcount of 500 staff.

• Taking part in the strategic choices of the company to develop specific market at group level, as well as developing skills.
• Acting as marketing service and competence center for starting countries as well as for global sales activities.
• Understanding the client’s need and expectation as well as increasing potential business with them.

This position requires an experienced multi-purpose Plant Manager from the food industry with specific knowledge and experience working with refrigerated products.

He will be well educated with a recognized Engineering qualification.

The candidate should have an understanding of the Indonesian culture and be familiar with the local labour laws. Fluency in English is required and competency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable.

The candidate will be someone who has demonstrated the ability to direct and motivate a work force to maximize operational productivity. He will have a sound working knowledge of good manufacturing and inventory control practices and procedures.
