Our Client
Established in Germany more than 30 years ago, the company
develops and processes established quality products made from
edible fruits, vegetables and plants. This independent
family-owned international company has based its success on high
flexibility, responsiveness and delivery capability and it is
the global market leader in manufacturing colouring foods
stuffs. The company focuses on managing and controlling the
entire supply chain from the raw materials through to ready for
dispatch branded products.
Substantial international growth in the past 10 years has led to
the company establishing affiliate offices in the USA, Spain,
Italy, France and Poland, in addition to factories in Holland
and Germany and the R&D HQ in Germany.
Further development of market penetration, continued growth and
maintenance of market leadership has led to the company needing
to establish an affiliate office in Singapore. The company is
requiring to recruit a General Manager to establish the office
(including a small laboratory) and develop business in the
region. |
The Position
The title will be General Manager, Southeast Asia. The
position is Singapore based & will report to the
Managing Director, UK.
The responsibilities, tasks & challenges of the role
can be summarized as:-
- To prepare, establish and
manage the Singapore based office & laboratory,
planning, purchasing & recruitment functions.
- Lead, train & motivate a
small technical & commercial team whilst creating a
performance led culture.
- Think and act
entrepreneurially, identifying & exploiting new
opportunities.
- Develop business to
increase market share & profits in a measured &
sustainable way.
- Establishing, recommending
and achieving annual & long term business goals for
the company through superior understanding of the
challenges & opportunities in the marketplace.
- Ability to develop &
implement competitive plans.
- The position will be an
integral part of the International team.

A qualification or technical competence & background in Food
Science or allied industry is required together with a
mindset & persona of long term commitment to the Food
industry and the satisfaction gained from delivering
profitable growth & impeccable customer service.
The Ideal Candidate will be ready for the next career
challenge and s/he will demonstrate experience in a customer
driven, commercially aware organization of comparable scale
& complexity as well as a track record of building
significantly on high standards of customer service.
